Their appointment follows the successful completion of similar Treehouses at Center Parcs Sherwood Forest in Nottinghamshire.

They will be working with architects Jackson Design Associates, who have designed the Treehouse and Uplands Construction who are the building contractors.

Set amongst the woodland canopy of the 400 acre Longleat Forest, each two-storey Treehouse has been designed to embrace the woodland, which is reflected throughout the interior.

Each are 2,500sq ft (232.25sq m) and will provide four double bedrooms, ensuite bathrooms, luxurious living space for eight people, Italian style kitchens, external hot tubs, the latest infrared saunas, a games den and ambilight TV.

They will be served by ground source heat pump boreholes providing hot water, via a district heating network, to underfloor heating.

Renewable electricity will be provided via solar panels located remotely from the tree canopy.

Other features will include heat recovery ventilation, sun tubes, occupancy controlled LED lighting, low energy TVs and high levels of building fabric insulation and air tightness.

Low water usage sanitary appliances and full FSC or PEFC certified timber will also be used throughout.

It is anticipated that all these measures will combine to provide an EPC A rating for both Environmental impact and Energy use.

In their role as project managers, Edmond Shipway will also co-ordinate the fit out of the bespoke interiors, including global sourcing, purchasing and installation management.
